Moving on... (new blog @ bishoffphotography.com)

Does this blog seem a little tired and outdated? Are you wondering where you can find more current information about Erik Bishoff Phootgraphy without having to pick up the phone to call Erik directly at 541.543.9322 or having to email him directly at info (at) erikbishoff (dot) com ? (I promise that I'm very friendly and even, dare I say, gregarious... in fact my middle name is Gregarious!)*

CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE NEW ERIK BISHOFF PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG!

Please visit my new website and blog site at http://www.bishoffphotography.com for all of your Bishoff bloggery needs! (Did I mention that my other middle name is Bloggery?)*

Please check around, make yourself at home, and I know you're going to enjoy what you see!

Cheers!
Erik

PS - Please visit Erik Bishoff's new blog HERE

* Please note... Erik Bishoff does have two middle names but they are not "Gregarious" or "Bloggery." (In fact "Bloggery" isn't even a word... yet) Erik's parents were only creative enough to come up with the middle names of "Richard" & "William." Which, while meaningful in their namesake, don't exactly inspire.) Erik Dick-Bill Bishoff thanks you for your time!

Ordering Merchandise from http://ErikBishoff.smugmug.com

It can be a little confusing.

I do wish that the smugmug.com ordering system was more intuitive when it comes to ordering up things other than basic prints. I've put together a couple of screenshots below to assist users in ordering merchandise like t-shirts, mugs, playing cards, buttons, and a whole host of other odds-and-ends at http://erikbishoff.smugmug.com.

First... you can find your way to your gallery, organized by category, on the main screen of http://erikbishoff.smugmug.com. (CLICK THE IMAGE BELOW TO VIEW A LARGER VERSION)

Next... the sometimes-illusive "buy" button is located at the top right corner of every preview image.

Finally... after clicking to buy "this photo" you will be presented with the following screen (see image below.) The "Merchandise" tab is located at the top of this screen.

If you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to email or call info(at)erikbishoff.com or 541.543.9322.

(Please note: some merchandise, like calendars and greeting cards, are not available on this screen but are available to you if you contact me directly.)

Laura & David - Valley River Inn - 11.11.2010

Congratulations to Laura & David who were married November 11, 2010 at the Valley River Inn in Eugene Oregon.  Rarely have I experienced a wedding as gracefully well planned as theirs.  Everything went off without a hitch. It's a real treat to be a part of the rare and elusive off-season wedding.  I was happy to be a part of it!

When camers misfire...

Schlepping two heavy cameras and a camera bag through crowded venues can create some interesting, and at times surprisingly attractive, misfires from time to time.  The randomness of some of these images, the fact that no one was looking the viewfinder when my cameras took these pictures, has always amused me.  No one took these photos... so who do they belong to?

The latest was taken during a November 11th wedding at the Valley River Inn.  Congratulations again to Laura & David!

Wedding Photography Marketing - 2011

The holiday season is a great time to get started on wedding planning. I put together a handful of new "ads" for Erik Bishoff Photography for some winter advertising. Looking forward to meeting more new clients for 2011!

Architecture Photography - Roosevelt Crossing Transitional Housing

I'm happy to say that one of my next shoots will be for ESSEX construction's newly completed project, the Sponsors, Inc. Roosevelt Crossing facility. The Roosevelt Crossing is a live-in facility for former inmates. The trio of buildings has the capacity to house over 70 men and women in three buildings on an acre of land. The property is wedged between Highway 99 and Roosevelt Blvd. in West Eugene on a very busy intersection. It should prove to be a challenging shoot as the buildings are fairly close together with a good amount of infrastructure (in the form of powerlines, traffic signals, signage, etc) to get in the way.

That being said, I'm looking forward to shooting a Bergsund DeLaney project... I've always been fond of their work. Even their more monumental projects are usually tastefully integrated into the neighborhood using simple and attractive materials with an honest, straightforward approach.

Amy & Rod - June 2010

Amy and Rod were married at the Schnitzer Art Museum on the UO campus just last week. The details were rich and the venue provided some wonderful backgrounds for a sincerely touching event. Congratulations to Amy & Rod!
